Millán Candela: The Adventurous Travels of Saint Francis and the Americas

SFA has undertaken dozens of visual research documentation trips to numerous countries including Canada, Chile, Germany, Italy, Mexico, Peru, Spain, Switzerland, Portugal, the United States, and elsewhere in its recording of the life and labors of St. Francis of Assisi and the work of the Franciscans, religious and secular, around the world.

We have come across some interesting personages during the course of these trips.  For example:

Millán Candela, a folk artist in Segovia, Spain, a wonderful singer and musician, puppeteer, and personality who makes his living on the streets of Segovia and who knew about the life of St. Francis, using his hands, legs, and torso to entertain and enlighten us with his lively music and performance.
