Pio of Pietrelcina

Father Pio of Pietrelcina (25 May 1887–23 September 1968) was an Italian Capuchin venerated as a saint in the Catholic Church. On 16 June 2002, he was canonized by Pope John Paul II. The Saint Francis and the Americas project is linking to rare footage of Father Pio, which was originally posted on You Tube, courtesy of Fr. Tim Finegan's blog.

The Padre Pio Devotions website offers a chronology of Father Pio's life.
