Vitchua - National Anthem of the Secular Franciscan Order
Courtesy of Luis and Mario Ruiz Gutiérrez, we are pleased to post the Spanish national anthem of the Secular Franciscan Order. It premiered at the Royal Basilica of San Francisco el Grande in Madrid in 1927 to celebrate the seventh centenary of the death of St. Francis of Assisi. Music composed by Maestro IgnacioBusca Sagastizabal. Lyrics written by R. P. Fray Pedro Ramos Martínez (1884-1931), of the Seraphic Province of Santiago. Click on the image below to hear the music.
